“None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.”
Henry David Thoreau

Damn straight!

Age will not dictate the music I listen to: I like it all, Eminem, Cypress Hill, The Feelers, Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, am I supposed to listen to soft rock because of my age? Forget that!

Age will not tell me what I should and shouldn’t do: Since when do you become too old to lift weights? Mountain bike? Change something I don’t like about myself? Life is what you make of it. Try new things! Make changes.

Looks fade: Better believe it baby. Don’t become that person that is defined by your looks. I used to hate it when people would say, “oh, you’re so pretty” great…but I am smart, strong and I can run pretty fast too. Stop telling your daughters how pretty they are and start complimenting their individual strengths. Build their confidence, not their insecurity.

I will not grow old: I don’t even know what that means? If one part of my body doesn’t work so well, I will seek every path to fix it, or I will work around it. What is the military saying, “improvise, adapt and overcome to conquer” yeah. I’ll to that.

They are right when they said “Health is Everything”: When I walk in the gym for a workout, I don’t get overwhelmed…I feel lucky that I can actually do the workout on the board. I am so grateful for my muscles and general health. There are some people with health conditions that prevent them from enjoying life to the fullest….and there are others that just waste their health. Those who eat crap, sit in front of the TV and makes excuses to not get off their arse and get moving. YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH.

It’s never too late to start: Get off your butt and get moving. Change your diet now!! Enough excuses. I love it when people who are younger than me say “maybe I am just too old to do this”, wow? Really?

Passion for Life: Haven’t found your passion in life? Are you looking? It’s never to late to try new things and find your passion in life. Get out there and live! This is it! There is no dress rehearsal!!

Happy Birthday to me! 46 and going strong! Whoot! Whoot!!
