First off some news from Aaron Duncan our visitor from CrossFit Canterbury last month. He is now is Oman, finding ways to apply his CrossFit training in real life.

Hi Donna,

Just thought I would drop you a line and let you know work now has me stationed in Salalah, Oman, a bit further from home than Christchurch!

No Crossfit Gyms over here, but here is the WOD that I did the other day.

WARM UP
Drive 35 km into rocky sandy desert.
Record GPS location of car.
WORK CAPACITY
5 rounds
Run 800 m
Climb down 4 m high rock face into Wadi
Run 10 m
Climb up 4m rock face out of Wadi
Now you are 4 km closer to waterfall that has not run for 3 years take photo.
Repeat run/climb back to car, increase run speed as it is getting dark.
Upon reaching car, wring out T-Shirt, scull 2×600 mm bottles of water.
COOL DOWN
Stretch – Drive Home.

It was more of a case of using Crossfit than training, but without the Crossfit training it would have been a struggle.   I have attached a
photo of the reward.

The Brookfield Bog Challenge is next Sunday. If you sign up HERE before midnight tonight you avoid the late entry fee. You can choose from 4, 8 or 12km courses. This is a fun event so sign up and come get muddy.
