The Arnold’s Dirty Secret

Enter the problem. The head honcho’s of the Arnold Weightlifting Championship and some USAW official decided it was a good idea this year (and over the last 10 years) to invite international “celebrity” lifters to the competition. What’s more, THEY AREN’T DRUG TESTED! It’s one thing for them to fly from Russia or China or Spain on their own dollar and on their own effort and come compete at the Arnold and be submitted to USADA testing just like our top lifters. It’s a whole different thing for an American weightlifting organization to elicit, go out of their way, and do everything in their power to bring them to the Arnold knowing they will take the money.
