10am til Noon. Not limited to lifting, you can work on your body weight skills or anything you like really. Don’t forget about Benchmark Training, still time to hit a “Girl” or “Hero” workout. You can also use this time as an Open Gym Session, just make sure you have a plan.

NEW ROOF

The installation of the new roof starts tomorrow. While we will attempt to minimize the impact on classes some disruption has to be expected. The roofers intend to do one half at a time so the half under construction will be out of bounds.

6am and 7am classes should be able to run as usual, just with a bit less space. 9am and Noon we plan to conduct outside of the gym, based around the Petone Warf. Evening classes should also be able to run as normal with a more limited space like the early classes.

This should take 7 to 9 days maximum, we will keep you informed of progress and thank you in advance for your understanding. This construction will ensure we have a leak proof building with, new more transparent skylights and a white ceiling cover that will make the space feel bigger and brighter.

If you have any issues during this time please let us know as soon as possible so we can get them addressed.

3 skinless boneless chicken breasts, about 5 ounces each
3 thick bacon slices, chopped
1/2 medium onion, diced
1 tablespoon lard or other cooking fat
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
1 cup chicken stock, preferably homemade
1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons water
salt and pepper, to taste
