Free Intro Workout

Our Free Intro Group Class is designed to suit any level of fitness  and is interested in learning more about our program.  You can come in with an existing member or book in with us before the day. In this session we start with a warm up and take you through a group class at MaD Strength & Conditioning.  We coach you through some of the movements so you get a feel for how we teach, and take you through a partner or team workout.  Afterwards we’ll cool down, talk about what we do in a regular class and what the next step is to join.

Although ‘Bring a Friend’ is not our typical Monday – Friday class, you’ll get a feel for the way things run.

Next dates: Thursday February 9th 6:30pm, Saturday February 11th at 9am.

Free class for all, does not count as one of your weekly visits.

41° Weightlifting Club Olympic Weightlifting Technical Officials Workshop – Sat Jan 21st 2017

WORKSHOP DETAILS
This workshop will help you understand how a weightlifting competition is run and what your role in that competition is whether you are an official, volunteer, athlete and/or coach. This workshop is highly recommended for current Level 1 and 2 referees to refresh their skills and knowledge in this area.

Cost: $10 for OWNZ members & $15 for non OWNZ members

Referee Exam (optional): 12.30pm start

Barbell Club Olympic Weightlifting Course

The Barbell Club Olympic Weightlifting Course is a 6 week fully coached program. We will meet twice a week for 1 hour. The primary focus will be on developing the Snatch and Clean and Jerk, there will also additional supplementary work. We run separate courses for beginners and experienced lifters.

First Beginners Course for 2017 Jan 30 to Mar 13.

LATEST COURSE:

Starting Monday Jan 30 until Monday Mar 13 (No session Monday 6 Feb for Waitangi Day) we will meet each week on Monday and Wednesday at 7:30pm for a one hour session. Limited to 8 students only. This course will be aimed at novice/beginner lifters.

41° Weightlifting Club Olympic Weightlifting Comp – Sun Feb 19th 2017

This Olympic Weightlifting New Zealand sanctioned competition is open to all MaD CrossFit members and any registered OWNZ lifters. Lifters from other gyms and CrossFit Affiliates welcome as well. You will have 3 attempts at both the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. We will run this in accordance with OWNZ and IWF rules. Sign up and surprise yourself. Weigh in at 9am.
